Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou was born in Beaumont in the French city of Puy-de Domme on August 9 1976 the oldest of four children. The parents of Audrey Tautou as a dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's passion for theater and drama at the age of a stage novice. The support they provided was enough to thwart her initial goal of becoming a the first primatologist. Her rise to fame as a young actress was quick and marked by her early successes. It was only at the age of 1999 after which she began acting professionally. In the years following her studies, Tautou took part in the French television show for talent scouting called Jeunes Premiers. Tautou was a student at in the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and enrolled in the school at an early age she has since renounced her Catholic childhood. She now declares herself to be non-Catholic. In addition to acting, she pursued modelling and was the face in the advertising campaign for L'Oreal Mont Blanc as well as Chanel. In the past, during the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited the collection of her photographs with the heading Superficial. Through her photography, she concentrates on fame and fame. Cameras are focused at journalists, who sat and watched her as she rose to the heights of fame in Amelie. Audrey Tautou became a star and gained international recognition with her role debut as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie is a box office hit internationally and has been lauded at numerous award shows around the world. Amelie was the highest-rated French-language film in the US. Following this massive success, Tautou was later cast in numerous films, such as British dramas like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
