Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci at the age of six. She would later be Romania's gymnastics coach. At first, she competed in the junior national championships of Romania in 1969, she was 13th. In 1970, she was crowned champion. At her first international event in 1972, a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she was awarded three gold medals. Then in 1973 and 1974 she became an all-around junior champion. When she made her debut as a senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. The five-time European champ winning four gold medals and one silver. The first female to complete a reverse double salo on the bar with a parallel surface in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. In her teens she was performing on travelling shows such as Ice Capades as a skater together with her younger sister Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on the 6th day of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career in the world of entertainment in her teens. She started her career performing figure skating with Nina Wayne, her younger sister, in the traveling entertainment shows Ice Capades. These shows were ice skating events which included stage performances.
